About

Ben Bouvier-Farrell is an emerging writer/director based in Sydney, Australia. His latest multi award winning series, Hit The Ground Running stars Carlo Richie (The Bear Pack), Nazeem Hussain, and Ruby Blinkhorn.

Hit The Ground Running won Best Series at The Bushwick Film Festival, Best Independent Series at Bilbao Seriesland, Gold Comedy at the DC Web Fest and Best Comedy at the Sydney Web-Fest. It was also officially selected in Bilbao Seriesland, Bushwick Film Festival, DC Web Fest, Flickfair Film Festival, Minnesota Web Fest, Short to the Point, Seoul Web Fest, Series Fest Colorado and the Sydney Web Fest.

Ben started his career with a successful internship at Spectrum Films (Fox Studios Australia). He then moved into a Production Assistant role on feature film, Gods of Egypt and at Soundfirm during the production of Hacksaw Ridge, Lion and Dance Academy.

Ben then moved to London, settling round the corner from David Bowie’s birthplace in Brixton. Over this two year span Ben cut his teeth freelance and put his efforts behind making his third short film, Sleepless in Santa Monica.

Based on a torrid night in a LA hostel dorm, Ben will always be grateful to the snoring old man that wandered into his dorm that night. This film went on to premiere at the Austin Film Festival and played at numerous others.

Upon his return to Sydney, Ben launched himself into Hit The Ground Running and working freelance across film, TV and advertising.

Ben is currently in development on Exit (Feature), Question Fifty Seven (Short) and Wally’s Hut (Feature).
